An example diary for Wednesday morning. Amara's balayage has a 45-minute development gap, and a fringe trim fits inside it. Josh has back-to-back fades and a new online booking with a deposit paid. Priya's nail desk shows a time being held while a client books.

Who it's for

One chair or twenty. One salon or a group. You choose the features you want when you sign up, and switch them on or off whenever you like.

The diary

Colour develops. Your diary keeps working.

Tell Salon Manager that a colour has 30 minutes to apply, 45 to develop and 45 to finish. While it develops, your stylist is free for a fringe trim or a blow dry, but the chair stays theirs. No more blocking out two hours and losing the money in the middle.

  • Double booking is impossible. The database itself refuses two bookings for the same person, chair or room at the same time, even when reception and the online page try at the same moment.
  • Prices and times by stylist level: Junior, Stylist, Senior, Director
  • Chairs, basins, rooms, nail desks and beds, so the space is never double-booked either
  • Rota with alternating weeks, breaks, holidays and late nights
  • Walk-ins, rebook in one tap, and a "running late" text to everyone after you

Online booking

Your own booking page, open all night

Clients pick the service, the person (or "anyone") and a time that really is free. Put the link in your Instagram bio, on Facebook, on Google and on your own website. It's your page with your name, not a marketplace that shows clients the salon down the road.

  • Clients sign in with a code sent to their phone or email. Nobody needs a password
  • They can cancel or move a booking within your rules, and the time goes back on sale at once
  • A waitlist texts the next person in line when a slot frees up
  • Turn online booking off for any location, any service or any new client

Allergy alert tests

Skin tests checked before anyone books colour

Most systems leave patch tests to a note and a good memory. In Salon Manager, a service can need a skin test at least 48 hours before, valid for 6 months (or whatever your insurer asks). Online, a client without one is offered the test first, then the earliest safe time. Reception sees a clear warning, and an override needs a reason.

  • Test date, product, result and who did it, on the client's card
  • Retest when the brand or product changes
  • No colour or tint for under-16s, if you switch that rule on
  • Health details kept apart, seen only by people you allow

Deposits and no-shows

Stop paying for empty chairs

Take a deposit or save a card when someone books, and charge a no-show fee you agreed with them up front. The money goes straight into your own Stripe account. We never hold it, and we never take a cut of your bookings.

  • Deposits per service, fixed or a percentage, or only for new clients
  • Card readers and Tap to Pay at the desk, tips to the right person
  • Cash and your existing card machine recorded too, with a daily cash-up

Chair and room rental

Rent chairs without mixing up the money

Self-employed stylists get their own Salon Manager: their own clients, prices, booking page and payments. You see their chair as busy in your diary, never their clients. Rent goes out on time by Direct Debit or card, with VAT-correct invoices and reminders when it's late. It keeps the line clear for HMRC, too.

How chair rental works

Switch on only what you need

Tell us about your salon when you sign up and we'll suggest a set-up. Everything is on during your trial. Afterwards, keep what you use and pay only for that.

Everything bundle: every add-on except chair rental for £29 a month. See all prices

What a £40 new client really costs you

Marketplaces charge a slice of every new client's first booking. These are the published UK rates we found in October 2026.
